Just a wee visual peek at something I've been toying with.

Since I don't really have enough time to work full pelt on the comic with all the stuff that's going on around me atm, I've been scribbling out some short strips.

OCSSL was dreamt up as a way to fuel doing more of these shorter format strips...anyway, here's the first of a set of sketches I'm going to turn into a fight between Danbei and Yasuo, now I know that Yasuo isn't allowed into the SDL.

It's gonna be a blast, I've wanted to do it since I came up with Yasuo, especially after he got rejected as I was free to combine the two continuities together :) It's gonna be stickfighting vs kung fu *strokes beard sagely* Who shall be triumphant?

Thanks for the compliments, know everybody likes them some Danbei, felt I could hardly say no when my head dreamt it up!

Thanks :D I was trying for something a little cinematic, been watching a lot of 50s-70s horror (when the visuals and the suspense mattered a lot more than teh bewbs and teh teenagers) and looking at a lot of old japanese artwork too, tried to tie the two together :)

Also using a limited pallette like this is a little faster, trying to get my tablet hand in trim for my upcoming OCSSL battles lol.

Awesome, I like the angle of the drawing. The character you do see(the guy where his face is shown) looks kind of goofy, like he's trying to get out of the fight almost. To me it seems like he's saying: "Aw, come on... can't we just forget about this little misunderstanding...?". I like. :giggle:
